MISSION

The Intercessory Prayer Team (IPT) is a group of Holy Spirit led; faith filled believers committed to living a life of prayer.  Daily going before God in prayer, supplication and thanksgiving, humbly submitting the cares and concerns of all people.  As we are led by the Holy Spirit, we pray for the advancing of the Kingdom of God in alignment with the Holy scriptures. We believe that daily communication with God is essential to living the abundant Christian life promised by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 10:10b).

VISION

The vision of the IPT is that TC fulfills the scripture as written in Matthew 21:13a. And He declared to them, “It is written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer.’  IPT is looking forward in faith to the day that all believers will know the importance of prayer and that their prayer life will exemplify their faith.

What is Intercession?

Prayer, petition, or entreaty in favor of another: to intervene between parties with a view to reconciling differences: mediate (Meriam Webster)

What to Expect

Weekly Tuesday Intercessory Prayer Meeting
This is a time for IPT to come together as a group and pray/intercede.  As a result of prayer, specific prayer topics are assigned to IPT members prior to the Tuesday meeting.  We typically open with a praise and worship song followed by an opening prayer.  The specific prayer topics are prayed for one at a time by the assigned IPT member.
After all of the prayer topics have been addressed, we proceed to take individual prayer requests.  Each person desiring to have prayer will inform the assigned IPT prayer request leader of their request and the prayer request leader will pray as the Holy Spirit leads.  Prayer doesn’t just stop there.  The prayer requests are subsequently prayed over by IPT.
Being that this prayer time is open to all, we understand that there are some prayer requests that need to remain private.  We have ways to accommodate that as well.  You can rest assured that IPT members are held to a strict level of confidentiality.  Any prayer request can be submitted at any time to the following email address prayer@thetcfamily.org
